Scope of Work:  General Asphalt was the material producer, transportation supplier of asphaltic materials and the contracted paving team for the Structural Lifts on this project.  Working closely with prime contractors – RE Moss Associates and American Engineering – approximately 44,000 tons of different specified mixes were placed. The final lift was a FDOT Modified High Polymer FC9.5 TL-C mix.  FDOT specifications were adhered to throughout the project including all mix production and placement.  Quality control testing at the plant and field testing included tracking mix temperatures, pavement density, spread rate and texture.  All this was monitored throughout the production and laydown to ensure proper compaction and material smoothness for the 19-turn, 5.41 km circuit track.
