General Asphalt Co., LLC Names Glenn Furman Chief Operating Officer

Glenn brings more than 20 years of construction industry finance and executive leadership experience to General Asphalt as it expands its reach in South Florida.

MIAMI, Fla. — September 1, 2026— General Asphalt Co., LLC, one of South Florida’s leading heavy highway and civil infrastructure contractors and asphalt producers, today announced that Glenn Furman has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

In this role, Glenn will oversee day-to-day operations across the company’s heavy construction and asphalt production business. Working alongside ownership and the executive team to drive operational efficiency and strategic growth, he’ll focus on optimizing resource management, enhancing safety protocols and expanding construction technology utilization. “Glenn brings exceptional operational leadership and a proven track record in the construction industry” said Rob Lopez Jr., CEO of General Asphalt Co., LLC. “As we take on larger and more complex projects, his expertise will help us maintain our commitment to quality, safety and on-time delivery for our clients.”

Glenn brings more than two decades of experience in finance, strategy, operations and construction management to General Asphalt. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Kerr Contractors Oregon, LLC and its more than 20 related affiliate companies. His work spanned strategic planning, ownership succession planning, risk management, banking and surety relationships, and enterprise-wide financial and technology initiatives.

Prior to Kerr Contractors, Glenn served as Director of Finance at Wilson Construction Co., Inc. in Canby, Oregon. He also spent more than a decade — from 2003 to 2014 — in finance leadership at Minnesota Limited, LLC, a union contractor specializing in transmission pipeline and station construction across more than 20 states with a field labor force of approximately 1,300 workers, serving as Director of Finance & Administration and later Director of Finance & Risk Management. Earlier in his career, Glenn spent seven and a half years in public accounting, focused on income tax, auditing and management advisory services.

Glenn holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bemidji State University and earned his CPA certificate in Minnesota in 1996. He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.
